# Setup your event with recurring dates

> Exactly how recurring dates work and how to set them up

## How recurring dates work

In Seen Markets, **one event = one date**. There is no single "event" that has many dates. So:

* A **one-time market** is one event for that day
* A **recurring market** (weekly, monthly, etc.) is multiple events—one per date—that you manage as a series.

You create the first date, then add more dates by copying that event. Vendors apply to one date first; in their vendor portal they see your other dates and can quickly apply to the rest with their info prefilled.

## How to set up recurring dates

  <Step title="Create your first event">
    Create one event for the **first** date of your series (e.g. first Saturday
    of the season). Fill in name, location, times, and everything else as usual.

  <Step title="Add another date">
    On that event’s management page, use **“Add another date”** (or
    duplicate/copy). This creates a **new** event for the next date—you are not
    editing the first one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy what you want">
    When adding another date, you can copy vendors and booth assignments to the
    new event so you don’t start from scratch. Each date is still its own event
    so you can manage them separately (e.g. different vendors per date).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share and manage">
    Publish and share your application form and event pages as usual. Vendors
    apply to one date first; then in their portal they see your other dates and
    can auto-apply to more—their info is prefilled. They choose which dates they
    attend.
